Mrs. Liliana Kostova Blount, 88, of the Dixie community, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at a local hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Sophia, Bulgaria, and a former resident of Knoxville, Tenn., before moving to Brewton over 20 years ago. She was president of Liliana Blount's Pure Bulgarian Yogurt and was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Knoxville.
She is survived by her husband, O.J. Blount of Dixie community; a daughter, Neranza Noel Blount of Knoxville; and a cousin and nephew.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 1, at 3 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Kelly officiating. Graveside funeral services were held Monday, March 3, at 11 a.m. at Green Mountain Cemetery in Star City, Ark., with Williams Memorial Funeral Home directing.
