Shell leads Neal Eagles to another win

William Shell continued his pitching dominance for the W.S. Neal Eagle baseball team and improved to 4-4 on the year with a 5-1 win over Central Friday night.
The game was originally scheduled to be played at W.S. Neal Eagle field, but was changed at the last minute to Central due to field conditions.
Shell improved to 3-1 on the season on the mound as he struck out 11 batters and allowed six hits in the seven-inning performance.
Shell not only had a great pitching performance in the game, but also had a 2-for-3 showing at the plate with a double and a single.
Tyler Cross went 1-for-4 as Reid Johnson went 1-for-2. Wesley Booker was 1-for-2 with an RBI and Jake Hodge added an RBI for the Eagles in the win.
W.S. Neal was scheduled to take on area rival Andalusia on Tuesday at home in a double header.
The Eagles will hit the road for a three game road trip before returning home to take on Escambia County on Tuesday, March 24 at 6 p.m. at W.S. Neal Field in East Brewton.
