Mrs. Lois Anita Allen Owens, 87, died Thursday, March 13, 2008, at a Crestview health care facility after an extended illness. She was native of Jenkins, Ken., and a former resident of Tuscon, Ariz., before moving to Crestview five years ago. She was a homemaker and of the Church of Christ faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Owens; a sister, Mary Kern; a brother, Jim Allen; her parents, Victor and Willie Allen; and a daughter, Lois Armenta Owens.
She is survived by five sons, Wayne (Cleo) Owens of Crestview, Kenneth Dale (Barnell) Owens of Atlanta, Lynn Allen Owens of Round Mountain, Calif., Thomas Phillip (Bonnie) Owens of Missoula, Mont., and Jerry Douglas Owens of South Lake Tahoe, Calif.; a daughter, Kathleen Lois (Charles) DeLapp of Redding, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, March 16, at 3 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Dave Barrentine and the Rev. Brandon Byrd officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Cemetery in Wallace with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
