Mr. Marvin Raymond Morris, 79, of Bay Hill Road, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native of Brewton and a former resident of Mobile, before moving back to Brewton. He was a member of Brewton Community of Christ Church and retired from Sunbeam Bakeries with 42 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Pettis Morris of Brewton; a son, Donald Elburn Morris of Brewton; a brother, Emmett Morris of Flomaton; a sister, Faith Morris of Brewton; four grandchildren, Gina Morris Welch, Raymond Morris, Nicole Morris Grantham, and Daniel Morris; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 15, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Elder Wayne Morris and the Rev. Phillip Pettis officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Memorial Gardens with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
