Are you looking for a loving companion, a cat or dog to keep you company? Or maybe you've lost your pet and don't know where to look to try and locate him. Call or go to the Humane Society on South Boulevard (Hwy. 31 South) or call 867-6860.
If you are wanting to adopt a pet, they have every size, breed and personality to choose from. And, a big plus for you: a dog is so happy to be given a loving home, he will love you back unconditionally. If you're trying to find a lost pet, they will take your information and if your pet is taken to the shelter, they will contact you. A picture of your lost pet is very helpful.
A friendly tan and white, medium size male dog, probably a year or two old, came in my yard Tuesday, March 11. He was well fed and did not act mistreated, just lost. I called The Humane Society and they came the next day and took him to the shelter. If this is your lost pet, please call the shelter. He really is a nice, friendly, playful dog.
I want to thank Rene Jones for her strong stand against abuse and cruelty to all animals and her untiring efforts to find loving homes for all the animals in her care. A big thank you also to all the people who work and volunteer at the shelter. It's hard, dirty work - thank you.
Please report any animal abuse you see or even suspect. Our pets are our best friends. They give us so much to help make our lives happy. The least we can do is protect all animals from needless cruelty. Call 867-6860 to report any abuse. You'll be glad you did. And, you'll also be glad when you give a shelter cat or dog a loving home.
