Mr. Enoch Isiah Joyner, 77, died Monday, March 24, 2008, at his Brewton residence. He was a native of Castleberry and had lived in the Brewton area for most of his life. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict, having served with the U.S. Army. He was a former fire chief for the City of Brewton, and a former member of the Brewton Police Department. He owned and operated Twin City Electric and Plumbing for a number of years and was a member of East Brewton First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Joyner and a son, Enoch Wayne Joyner.
He is survived by a son, Chris (Tammy) Joyner of Andalusia; a daughter, Belinda (Larry) Knowles of Brewton; three brothers, Howard (June) Joyner and Tot (Yvonne) Joyner, both of East Brewton and John (Robbie) Joyner of Grand Bay; a sister, Ann (Cliff) Roby of Pensacola, Fla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, March 26, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Knowles officiating. Burial will follow at Weaver Cemetery on Appleton Road. Pallbearers will be Mike Johnson, Greg Joyner, D.J. Joyner, Ed Joyner, Scott Jones and Brandon Chancery.
