Mrs. Maggie Elizabeth Cofield, 100, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, in Milton, Fla. She was a native of Conecuh County and had spent her life in the Century community. She was a homemaker and a member of Little Escambia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Cofield; her son, Charles Harvey Cofield; and her brother, Hairston Brantley.
She is survived by a son, Ernest (Omilee) Cofield of Monroeville; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 29, at 11 a.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Patterson officiating. Burial followed at McCurdy Cemetery in Century with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Erwin Brantley, Elwood Brantley, Paul Brantley, David Brooks. Melvin Cofield, Donnie Cofield, Jimmy Malone and Andy Miles.
