JDCC softball gets two wins at home

The Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk softball dropped to 8-20 with four straight losses and to 1-3 in conference play.
The Lady Warhawks lost to Central Alabama 13-0 and 7-1 and 4-1 and 7-1 to Faulkner State in conference play.
Game one: Central Alabama 13,
JDCC 0
In game one, JDCC only managed one hit in the game and allowed a nine-run fourth inning after trailing 4-0 already.
Ashleigh Allgood picked up the lone hit for the Lady Warhawks with a 1-for-2 showing with a double.
Carla Ray took the loss on the mound for the Lady Warhawks as she went two innings and allowed four runs (three earned) on three hits, walked three and struck out one.
JDCC committed three errors in the game.
Game two: JDCC 1, CACC 7
In game two, Jodi Lisenby was 2-for-2 at the plate with a double as the Lady Warhawks fell to 8-18 on the season with a 7-1 loss.
Tiffany Cayson and Amanda Pullen added doubles in the loss as Cayson had the lone RBI.
Allgood went six innings and got the loss as she allowed seven runs (six earned), four hits, eight walks and three strikeouts.
Game one: JDCC 1, FSCC 4
In game one against the Sun Chiefs, Lisenby was 2-for-2 at the plate and Jayla Davis was 1-for-2 with one RBI in the 4-1 loss.
Allgood earned the loss on the mound as she went the complete game and allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits and walked four and struck out eight.
Game two: JDCC 1, FSCC 7
In game two against Faulkner State, JDCC dropped to 8-20 and 1-3 in conference play.
Ray went one inning and took the loss. She allowed four runs on four hits and walked one.
Allgood and Kayla McKnight came in relief of Ray and went the final six innings.
Davis and Cayson each went 2-for-3 in the loss.
The Lady Warhawks will be back in action on Tuesday against LBW with a 1 and 3 p.m. doubleheader.
In a round robin tournament at home, JDCC improved to 10-20 with two wins:
JDCC 2, McHenry 1 eight innings
After a scoreless game through the regulation seven-inning game, both teams broke the tie with runs in the eighth inning.
While both teams struck for runs, it was the Lady Warhawks that scored the most to take a 2-1 win in eight innings over McHenry in game one of the three team round robin.
Jayla Davis hit a double to score the game winning RBI of Ashleigh Allgood.
Allgood had singled in Shanelle Bradshaw to tie the game at 1-1. Davis, Jodi Lisenby and Sarah Varderman all had doubles in the game as Varderman was 2-for-2 at the plate in the win.
Allgood picked up the win on the mound as she went eight innings and allowed one run (none earned) on three hits and walked two and struck out 11.
JDCC 4, Meridian CC 3
In their second extra inning game in as many games, the JDCC Lady Warhawks went to 10-20 on the season with a 4-3 win over the Meridian Community College Eagles.
Meridian jumped out to a 3-0 lead as JDCC responded with two runs in the bottom of the first to cut the lead to 3-2.
That would be all the runs for the Eagles as JDCC scored one in the seventh inning to tie the game at 3-3 and force extra innings and then scored one run in the eighth for the 4-3 win.
Tiffany Cayson was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Davis had two RBIs in the win.
Carla Ray earned the win going 7.1 innings and allowed three hits and one walk while striking out six.
