Mr. Cecil Wayne Morgan, 74, died Wednesday, April 2, 2008. He was a native of Brewton and a resident of Orange Beach. He worked with Container Corporation of America, Brewton, for 32 years. He was a past master of Norris Lodge 302 F&AM, a member of Scottish Rite and Abba Temple Shrine. He was a member and inactive deacon of First Baptist Church of Orange Beach. He was preceded in death by his parents, Obie and Lillie Mae Roberson Morgan; and one brother, Henry Morgan.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rita Carroll Morgan; four daughters, Twinette (Larry) McDonald of Pensacola, Annette (James) Wilson of Brewton, Cecilia Wayne (Foyel) Brunson of Pinckard and Jayne Morgan and Dale Edgar of Robertsdale; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren; an aunt, Annie Lee Stinson of Garland; a sister, Elizabeth Wright of Mobile; two half-brothers, Calvin Morgan and Gary Morgan both of Mobile; a special sister-in-law, Yvonne Carroll Vick of Orange Beach; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 5, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Orange Beach with the Rev. John Price officiating. Burial followed at Pine Rest Memorial Park with Pine Rest Funeral Home of Foley directing.
