The W.S. Neal Lady Eagle softball team worked hard but couldn't make a connection on the field at home last week.
The Eagles lost to Monroe County by a score of 16 to 6 Tuesday in East Brewton.
The loss puts the team's season record at 2-8.
Renee Boatwright pitched for the Lady Eagles.
During her time on the mound she managed to pitch one strikeout.
The pitching game also put her at 2-for-4 at the plate with one run scored.
Katie Lowery was 2-for-2 with a walk and scored twice.
Katie Elliot and Jessica Lambert were both 2-for-3.
The W.S. Neal Lady Eagle team will see action again on the field when they meet cross-town rival, T.R. Miller Thursday.
