The T.R. Miller boys track team and the W.S. Neal girls team captured their second straight event at T.R. Miller High School Thursday at the local meet. The W.S. Neal Eagles boys team finished second with 114 points. The T.R. Miller girls team finished sixth with 34 points.
The host Tigers finished first with 265 points, 151 points more than the second place team. The W.S. Neal Lady Eagle team finished with 135 points, 49 points more than second place Central.
Rounding out the other finishers at the track meet on the boys side were Monroe County High School with 71.5 points, the Andalusia Bulldogs finishing fourth with 24 points, Escambia County Blue Devils finishing fifth with 19 points, the Opp Bobcats with 17 points and a sixth place finish, Central with 15 points and a seventh place finish and Florala finished in eighth place with 2.5 points.
Rounding out the girls side, Escambia County finished third with 71 points. Florala finished in fourth place with 53 points. Monroe County finished in fifth place with 36 points; the T.R. Miller girls were in sixth with 34 points and Opp finished with 15 points in seventh place.
Both teams will be back in action Thursday, April 10 at T.R. Miller at 3:30 p.m.
