Miss Marissa Nicole Ritchie, 18, died Friday night, April 4, 2008, in Brewton of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was a native of Mobile, and a long-time resident of Brewton. She was a member of Damascus Assembly of God Church and worked at the Brewton Area YMCA as an after school child care worker.
She is survived by her mother, Angelia (Eddie) Hammac of Brewton; her father, Charles (Tammy) Ritchie of Mobile; her grandparents, Roy and Bernadine Day of Fort Payne, and Cyril and Ethel Hammac of Brewton; three sisters, Sarah Hammac and Lydia Hammac of Brewton, and Kayla Ritchie of Mobile; a stepbrother, Michael Young of Mobile; and a stepsister, Jackie Kelly of Mobile.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 9, at 10 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Cyril Hammac and the Rev. Russ McDonald officiating. Burial will follow at Hanberry Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
