Mike Haveard is a free man, for now.
Haveard was released after family and friends came forward and signed his bond, which totaled $875,000 on separate charges.
The May 15 date set for arraignment won't require Haveard's attendance, Smith said.
Heaveard's attorney, Danny White, said no court date has been decided in the case.
Haveard was arrested March 3 after a grand jury handed down indictments on four charges of possession of a controlled substance, four counts of distribution of a controlled substance, and four counts of first-degree solicitation to commit theft.
Haveard was only hours away from walking free on a $700,000 bond when members of the 21st Judicial Drug Task Force presented new charges that kept him in jail for an additional week.
Charges of possession of a controlled substance and bringing stolen property across state lines found Haveard facing an additional $175,00 bond as of last Thursday.
Haveard made bond after the original $8 million cash bond was reduced to the $700,000 property bond by Circuit Judge Bert Rice March 28. The April 1 charges received a $75,000 and $100,000 bond set by Circuit Judge David Jordan April 3.
District Attorney Steve Billy could not be reached for comment.
