Mrs. Marilyn I. Kolp, 72, died Thursday, April 17, 2008, in a Pensacola hospital. She was a native of Catalla, Ga., and had been a resident of Orange Beach for the past 17 years, coming from Monett, Mo. She attended the Assembly of God Church in various locations, including Bradley Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by husband of 56 years, Arnold Kolp of Orange Beach; two daughters, Dezerah Kolp of Orange Beach, and Laurisa Anderson of Tulsa, Okla.; a son, Rusty Kolp; five brothers, Henson Royce McKissack of Oklahoma City, Okla., Grady Lamar McKissack and Billy McKissack, both of Pensacola, J.C. McKissack of Brewton and Bobby McKissack of Wing; three sisters, Geraldine Riley of Columbus, Ga., Maxine Bell of Pensacola and Jane Fowler of Bradley; and two grandchildren, Monte Adam McCauley and Heath Anderson.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 20, at 3 p.m. at the Bradley Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Avon Fowler officiating. Burial followed at Bradley Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Grady Lamar McKissack, J.C. McKissack, Bobby McKissack, Billy McKissack, Allen Kolp and Art Kolp.
