An indictment on drug charges landed Candi Larainne Haveard in the Escambia County Jail last week.
A grand jury indictment charged Haveard with unlawful distribution of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana, first degree and levied a $100,000.
Keith Hutchins, director of the 21st Judicial Drug Task Force, said the charges stemmed from a case the department made against Haveard last year.
Hutchins said the charges stemmed from Haveard's sale of the drug to an undercover agent.
Hutchins said Haveard's residence is located within a half mile of W.S. Neal High School.
Certain enhancements can be made to a sentence by a judge if the sale of drugs is made within certain distances from a school or federal housing facility, Hutchins said.
The grand jury indictments states that Haveard, did sell, furnish, give away, manufacture, deliver or distribute the controlled substance marijuana. Haveard was also charged with the unlawful possession of marijuana for other than personal use.
Haveard was arrested and booked at the Escambia County Detention Center on $100,000 bond.
She was released on bond from the center. No date for the trial in the case has been set.
