Mrs. Mary Lucille Mayson, 79, died Sunday, May 4, 2008, in Pensacola, Fla. She was a native of Bayou La Batre and a resident of Flomaton for the past 50 years. She was the owner/operator of Village Flower Shop in Flomaton for 47 years and attended the Flomaton First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, D.L. Mayson; and a daughter, Patricia Ann Campbell. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth Mayson of Navarre, Fla.; a granddaughter, Sarah Ellen Campbell (Michael) Banks of Pensacola; a brother, Leon (Willie Lois) Troutman of Atmore; three sisters, Margaret Lockwood and Quida (Lowell) McGill, both of Atmore, and Doris (Lawrence) Cooper of Bratt, Fla.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 7, at 10 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Keese officiating. Burial will follow at Flomaton Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Mark McGill, Steve McGill, Bryan McGill, Clark Hill, Carl Cooper and Marion Cooper.
