Spreading cheer for Mother's Day is a busy job for the mother-daughter team of Betty Ellis and Rebecca Jernigan.
The two own and create floral arrangements at The Changing Seasons florist in downtown Brewton.
The two exhibit typical mother-daughter traits with little squabbles and lots of lessons while they work together.
Most families prefer not to work day in and day out with each other, but Ellis said the arrangement is working out well.
Ellis said Mother's Day falls second only to Valentine's Day in the number of arrangements they send out the door.
Ellis said the business also does a lot of wiring business for this special day of recognition for mothers.
Ellis said she appreciates her daughter's outlook on a variety of ideas for the shop and always gives in.
Jernigan credits her mother for her love of the business and the joy she has in her job.
Ellis and Jernigan love their job working with flowers that deliver happiness to those who receive them, but they do have an aversion to flower deliveries they might receive.
Jernigan agreedwith her mother.
