Mrs. Irene Elizabeth Berthiaume, 92, died Saturday, May 24, 2008, at her residence in McDavid. She was a native of Hartwood, Va. and had been a resident of McDavid since 1964, coming from Key West, Fla. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by two sons, Archie Berthiaume and Johnny Deats and a daughter, Joyce Wilson.
She is survived by her husband, Loys Berthiaume of McDavid; three sons, Loyd Berthiaume Jr. of McDavid, Floyd Miller of Tennessee, and Julius Deats of Virginia; three daughers, Paula Thomas of McDavid, Dorothy Dye of Virginia, and Myrna Todd of South Carolina; a sister, Leatrice Corbin of Hartwood, Va.; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 28, from 5 until 9 p.m. at the Flomaton Funeral Home chapel.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 29, at 2 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. William Chancery officiating and Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
