Mr. Calvin L. Fuqua, 63, died Friday, May 30, 2008, at his residence in Hemet, Calif.
He was a native of Brewton and had been a resident of Hemet for 18 years. He was retired from the U.S. Marine Corp, where he served for 30 years.
He retired a second time from the Internal Revenue Service where he was employed for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, of 19 years, Sheryl F. Carne of Hemet; his children Calvin Alex (Barbara) Fuqua of Yucaipa and Beth (Dale) Zemke of Orange; step-children, Monique (Jim) Redington of Cooper City, Fla., and Sean (Kym) Carne of Hemet; a sister, Katie (Robert) Wilson of Brewton, brothers, Edd (Janet) Fuqua of Brewton, and Clayton (Goldie) Fuqua of Lebanon, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 13, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in San Jacinto with a graveside service following at Riverdale National Cemetery with Miller-Jones Mortuary directing.
