ADC hosts annual event

Members of the Alabama Democratic Conference (ADC) met June 7, for the groups annual Pre-Father's Day celebration.
The Escambia County ADC chairman, Joe Watson, introduced guests attending the dinner hosted by the organization at the Brewton Civic Center.
The guests attending the event included Pastor Forrest Lett of Greater First Baptist Church of Cantonment, Fla., Judge Bert Rice, Judge Bradley Byrne, Judge Dave Jordan, and the Democratic nominee for County Commission District 2, Raymond Wiggins.
The speaker of the evening was the Rev. Eric Andrews, pastor of Baptist Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
Additional entertainment was provided by the Senior Praise team. Gary Likely also provided musical entertainment and Phyllis Redmon presented a vocal selection.
The steering committee for ADC's event include Dorothy Stewart who served as chairperson with other committee members including Ella Ruth Davis, Celesta Motton, Regina Watson, Sylvia Stevenson, Canesha Stewart, Jacqueline Hubbard, Pearl Stallworth, Evely Daniels, Christine Bradley and Mary Avant.
Sponsors for the 2008 annual event were Tony Sanks - county administrator; Kenneth Taylor - circuit clerk; Steve Billy - district attorney; David Jordan - district judge; Jim Hildrieth - tax assessor; Bert Rice - circuit judge; Monte McGougin - Brewton chief of police; Pat Lindsey - state senator; Reo Kirkland county Democratic Party; Jeff White - attorney; Seth Hammett - state representative; Bradley Byrne - circuit judge; Danny White - attorney.
