The T.R. Miller Quarterback club held their annual summer basketball tournament recently on the T.R. Miller High School campus.
T.R. Miller's girls basketball coach Ron Jackson and former boys coach, Rob Atkinson, worked out the details for the event.
The tournament hosted girls and boys teams from 15 area schools to make this tournament one of the best attended tournaments hosted by the club.
Schools participating with boys and girls teams in the tournament included T.R. Miller High School, W.S. Neal High School, Flomaton High School, Pensacola High School, Pace High School, J.F. Shields, Straughn, Sumter County, Escambia County High School, Marengo Couty, Monroe County, Robertsdale, Tate and Central High School and Spanish Fort.
The event is sponsored each year by the T.R. Miller Quarterback Club in an effort to provide a time of practice and sportsmanship during a time when basketball is currently in off-season time.
The tournament plays host to teams representing schools from across Southwest Alabama and Northwest Florida.
