Mr. Levi Odom, 74, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at his residence. He was a native of Pollard and a resident of Picayune since 1965. He served in the U.S. Air Force and worked as a civilian with the Air Force as a NASA Comptroller at what is now Stennis Space Center. He is preceded in death by his father, Archie Lee Odom; his mother, Leona Izella Odom; his brother, Joice Ray Odom; and his sister, Vera Mae Wilkerson.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Charlotte V. Odom; his children, Mike (Sharon) Odom, Becky (Albert) Willis, and Cheri (Durant) Cuevas; siblings, Melvin Odom, Shirley (Doug) Weaver, Betty (Charles) Fears and Mac (Flo) Odom; his 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 19, at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Picayune with Brother David Lowery officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with McDonald Funeral Home of Picayune directing. Pallbearers were Trae Willis, Jereme Willis, Garrett Willis, Shaun Willis, Kurt Willis and Durant Cuevas.
