Mrs. Mamie Ellen Downing Miller, 72, of Conecuh Road, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at her residence after an extended illness. She was a native and life-long resident of Castleberry and was a homemaker. She attended the New Haven Holiness Church.
She is survived by two sons, Tommy (Jan) Miller of Brewton, and Kenny Miller of Castleberry; a daughter, Lisa (Billy Davis) Miller of Brewton; a brother, Newton (Janice) Downing of Castleberry; four sisters, Daisy Madden, Linda Smith, JoAnn (Ron) King, and Sally (Bufford) Kast, all of Castleberry; four grandchildren, Brandy Miller, Amy Miller, Michelle Miller and Adam (Jamie) McCall; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 18, at 10 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Wilson and the Rev. Randy Steadman officiating. Burial followed at Weaver Cemetery on Appleton Road with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
