A former Bank of Brewton bank teller charged with embezzlement and bank fraud pleaded not guilty Wednesday in federal court in Mobile.
Mescilla Lawson is charged with nine counts of embezzlement, fraud and making false reports. An indictment alleges she made up fake names for accounts to get cash advances from the bank.
A September trial has been scheduled.
