Mrs. Annie D. Culliver, 78, died Monday, Aug. 4, 2008. She was a native of Owassa and a longtime resident of Brewton. She was a member of Little Brooklyn Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Corine Barnett; and her husband, Deasly Culliver.
She is survived by her children, Samuel (Jean) Culliver of Brewton, Mary Culliver Nelson of Harrisburg, Penn., Calvin Culliver of Tuscaloosa, and Norman Wade Culliver and Julius Lynn (Felicia) Culliver, both of Birmingham; a brother, William (Joyce) Culliver; a sister, Mary Lou Godbolt of Brewton; a brother-in-law, Hillary Culliver of Detroit, Mich.; a devoted friend, Willie John Spears; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 8, at 11 a.m. at Little Brooklyn Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Robert S. Gray officiating. Burial followed at Little Brooklyn Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing
