Last year the T.R. Miller Lady Tiger volleyball team suffered some injuries, but finished with a 16-8 record and captured the Escambia County tournament and made a run in the area and sub state play.
While the injuries were not good to the team, the experience of the younger players being able to play because of the injurie will look to help the 2008 team.
This year, the Lady tigers will dress 19 varsity players. The 19 players consist of four seniors, two juniors, five sophomores and eight freshmen.
The four seniors this year for the Lady Tigers are Brandi Kennedy, Morgan Hubbard, Brittany Shaddix and Alex Bondurant.
Senior leader Morgan Hubbard, was set to be on pace for a great season, but has injured her knee this season.
Alex Bondurant and Brittany Shaddix are the last two seniors for the Lady Tigers and White said both have improved.
Janel McCorvey is one of the Lady Tigers who had to step in last season due to injuries on the team.
Natalie Neal stepped in for the Tigers last season as a freshman and saw some quality time.
Leigh Margaret Bostic, Elizabeth Nelson and Teralyn Moore are three sophomores who will look to help out on the 2008 season.
White said Nelson and Teralyn Moore share similar characteristics.
Another sophomore for the Lady Tigers is Emily Waters.
White said two freshmen might also see some time on the court.
The Tigers being their season Monday.
