The final tally has been counted, recounted and verified following last week's municipal elections in Brewton and East Brewton.
Brewton and East Brewton mayors and council members held canvas meetings Tuesday as part of state regulations required to certify the election results.
In East Brewton, the canvas meeting revealed a slightly different count than those presented immediately following the election.
All candidates who were announced as having the most votes in each of East Brewton's five places remain the same after the final tabulations, Singleton said.
In the Brewton election, all district council positions were elected with the exception of District 5. A run-off election will be held Oct. 7 with candidates Terrence Breckenridge and Fred Barton being on the ballot for that seat. No runoff election was necessary in East Brewton
