Lady Warhawks grab second win on season

After splitting their first two games in a season opening tournament and having another game cancelled, the JDCC Lady Warhawks grabbed their second win of the season in their first home game of the year Wednesday night in Brewton.
JDCC beat Wallace State of Selma 3-0 winning by scores of 25-17, 25-16, and 25-15.
Nims was hit the nail right on the head about the Lady Warhawks serving as they combined for 17 total service aces in the three game sweep.
Lauren Himel led JDCC with four service aces followed by three from Brittney Rogers and Tamara Lewis.
Brewton native and former W.S. Neal Lady Eagle Maggie Crutchfield helped led JDCC in the win with six kills on the night. Rogers followed with four.
Samantha Boutwell led with 22 digs on the night and Emily Sandlin combined for four blocks.
With the win, JDCC improved to 2-2 on the season.
Wallace State-Hanceville 3, JDCC 0
The Lady Warhawks fell to 1-2 on the season last week with a 3-0 loss to Wallace State of Hanceville,
Hanceville defeated the Lady Warhawks 25-12 in both the first and second games and 25-10 in the third and final game.
Jessica Johnson and Sandlin led JDCC with three kills apiece and Rogers, Lewis and Johnson all had one service ace in the game.
Boutwell led in the digs category again with 10.
