Delmas Ewell “Buddy” Dubose

Rev. Delmas Ewell “Buddy” Dubose, 79, of Schad Street, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native of Covington County, and a long time resident of East Brewton. He was a retired minister, a logger, a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Damascus Assembly of God Church and he was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Dubose.
He is survived by his wife, Eloise Vernell Gibson Dubose of East Brewton; a son, Jimmy (Lena Mae) Dubose of Bay Minette; a daughter, Angie (Claude) Hadley of Brewton; two brothers, Charles Dubose and Billy Dubose, both of Damascus; three sisters, Wilmer Williams of Rock Creek, Merle Pate of Brewton, and Margie Johnson of East Brewton; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 19, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Earl Green and the Rev. David Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Damascus Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
