T.R. Miller Tiger cross country races in Milton, sectionals up next

The T.R. Miller girl's cross-country team finished second out of 12 teams and the boys finished ninth out of 12 teams in their latest cross-country meet at Milton in the Black Cat Invitational. 
T.R. Miller Tiger cross country coach Rob Atkinson continues to be proud of his team.
In the race over the weekend, Karis Nelson continued to lead the Lady Tigers in her first place finishes.
Nelson took first for the Lady Tigers and second place overall with a personal record time of 19:19.
Shelby Youngblood took    fourth place with an overall time of 19:47 which was a   personal record.
Amber Nelson was the next Lady Tiger to cross the finish line.
Nelson finished with a ninth place time of 20:57, another person record time for the Lady Tigers.      
Katie Nelson followed Amber Nelson as she finished in 15th place with a time of 21:54.            
Amber Terry placed 34th with a personal record time of 23:28.           
Taylor Guthrie finished 59th for the T.R. Miller Lady Tigers as she ran a time of 24:49, another personal record.         
Desiree Gibbs placed 60th with a time of 24:54 and Abby Carlson  finished 75th with a personal best time of 25:54.         
Leah Huff rounded out the Lady Tiger finishers with a
93rd place finish and a personal record time of 27:08.               
On the boys side for T.R. Miller, Geoffrey Youngblood   led the Tigers with a ninth place finish and a time of 17:30, which was a personal best time.
After Youngblood, Brandon Nelson finished 10th for the Tigers with a time of 17:31.          
Taylor Terry followed Nelson with a 46th place finish and a time of 19:40, a personal record for Terry.                  
Christian Carlson finished 108th for T.R. Miller with a person best record time of 22:41.              
Jerric Woods rounded out the T.R. Miller Tiger racers with an 114th place finish and another personal best record time for the Tigers with a time of 23:04.                
The Tigers will run in the 3A sectionals on Thursday in Auburn. 
The top three teams will qualify to run in the state meet in Moulton, on Nov. 8.
