Brewton
Mr. Franklin L. Chavers, 82, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, in a local hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of the Brewton area. He owned a wholesale bakery for a number of years and was a former member of the Kiwanis Club. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Brewton.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Chavers of Brewton; a son, James F. (Linda) Chavers of Franklin, Tenn.; a daughter, Cynthia Renee (Robert) Trimmer of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Willie Chavers of north Alabama; two sisters, Celia K. Chavers of Brewton, and Frances James of Opp; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Brewton First United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 6, at 11 a.m. at Brewton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ed Glaize officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
