Mr. Jimmie Salter, 57, of Evergreen, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, in a local hospital after an extended illness. He was a native and long-time resident of Evergreen.
He is survived by two sons, Bobby (Rebekah) Salter of East Brewton, and Teddy Salter of Evergreen; a daughter, Mandy Wright of Summerdale; a brother, Arthur (Dianne) Salter of Andalusia; three sisters, Dollie (Bill) Polk of Jay, Fla., Nell (Millard) Williams of Pace, Fla., and Jean Kirkland of Opp; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Deacon Terry Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Georgiana with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
