Kate Evans Jordan, 89, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, in a Pensacola, Fla., hospital. She was a native of Damascus and had lived in Flomaton since 1955, coming from Brewton. She worked as a legal secretary for a number of years and was a member of Flomaton First Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, William E. Jordan of Mobile; a daughter, Rebecca Anne Jordan (Rex) Straughn of Pace, Fla.; three sisters, Gladystine Parker and Ruby Horton, both of Brewton, and Flossie Martin of Keego; and three grandchildren, Tonya Kate Gulbranson, William Jason Staughn and Sara Ashley Straughn.
Graveside funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. at Fort Crawford Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Keese officiating, and Craver's Funeral Home directing.
