Mrs. Deborah Ann Smith, 50, died Monday, Nov, 17, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Austin and Lillian Thompson; her husband, James Smith; one sister, Henrietta Thompson; and two brothers, Charles Thompson and Isaac Kennedy.
She is survived by her three daughters, LaWanda (Larry), Aronette (Thomas) and Misty (Donald), all of Brewton; seven step-children, Donald (Tiffanie) Smith, James, Ronald (Patricia), Randy (Vickie) Smith, Tina (Willie), Stephanie Smith and LaVonda Jenkins, all of Brewton; seven brothers and sisters, Austin (Rebecca) Thompson of Atmore, Alvin (Maria) Thompson of New Mexico, Cathy Thompson, Wileatha Thompson, Brenda (Rickey) Page, and Edna (Donell) Culliver, all of Brewton, and Robert Earl (Natalie) Thompson of Atmore; three sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends; and one special friend, Johnny Jones.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 22, at 11 a.m. at Second Saint Siloam Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. W.J. Blue officiating. Burial followed at Baptist Hill Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
