If you haven't mailed all those Christmas cards and packages, Brewton Postmaster Tim Clark said the time is now.
The deadline for priority mail is Dec. 11, with delivery within two or three days, but there is no guarantee of delivery. During this time of the year you should add at least another day, Clark said.
The express mail deadline is Dec. 18, with delivery within one or two days. Clark said that packages in Alabama will probably be delivered in one day, and outside the state will be two days. “You can expect delivery to take about a day in Alabama,” he said. “But anything outside of the state will take the two days. Express mail is guaranteed to be delivered within those times.”
Every year people put off sending those packages, cards and letters and every day gets busier for those who work at the post office.
