Clyde Alan Chandler

Mr. Clyde Alan Chandler, 56, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, in a Santa Rosa medical facility in Milton, Fla. He was a native of Eglin Air Force Base. He was a 1970 graduate of Walton High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran and involved in the Vietnam Crisis. He retired as a Sergeant First Class. After retirement he accepted the position of Lake Manger with the Alabama Department of Conservation where he managed Leon Brooks Hines Public Lake in Escambia County for some 10 years.
He is survived by his wife, Vici J. Mims Chandler; his sisters and brother, Cynthia Chandler (Mark) Anderson, David (Connie) Chandler, Karen Chandler (Jeff) Cummings, Shirley Chandler (Keith) Legette, and Krisy Chandler (Keith) Spence; a sister-in-law, Nelia Ann (Pete) White, his brother-in-law, Merle A. Parker; and many other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at a later date under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
