WSN B team now 7-1

The W.S. Neal B team Eagles picked up their fifth win in a row Monday night at home when they defeated the McKenzie Tigers 41-26 to improve to 7-1.
After leading by only two points at the half, 16-14, the B team Eagles outscored McKenzie 25-12 in the second half (13-4 in the third quarter and 12-8 in the fourth quarter) to win by 15 points, 41-26.
Colby McCorvey led the Eagles with 18 points and Ashton Elliott followed with 12 points in the win.
Tra Dixon chipped in three points for the Eagles and three Eagles all added four points in the win.
The Eagles opened the game with a 6-2 lead as Elliott scored all six points in the first quarter for the Eagles.
McKenzie quickly used a 6-0 run to cut the lead to 6-4 at the end of the first quarter and take an 8-6 lead with 5:21 left in the first half.
The game flipped back-and-forth in the second quarter with McKenzie taking an 11-8 lead with 4:11 left in the half, but W.S. Neal claimed a 12-11 lead at the 2:27 mark after points from McCorvey.
McCorvey finished with eight points in the quarter as W.S. Neal led 16-14 at the half.
In the second half, W.S. Neal used a 7-0 run to claim a 29-18 lead in the quarter and added to their run to take a 31-18 lead to start the fourth quarter.
McKenzie cut the lead to 33-24 with 3:51 leaf to go in the game, but the B team Eagles used a 6-0 run to push them to the win at 41-26.
The Eagles will be back in action on Tuesday at home against Northview.
