Eagles lose in area

Missed easy shots and lay-ups, a 17-3 disadvantage in the second quarter and 7-of-22 from the free throw line.
That's what the stats looked like Friday night as the W.S. Neal Eagles dropped an area game 52-38 to UMS-Wright.
WSN dropped to 12-8 overall and 1-3 in area standings.
W.S. Neal led 10-8 after the first quarter of play, but allowed a 14-0 run in the second quarter to the Bulldogs as UMS-Wright outscored the Eagles 17-3 in the quarter to turn a two-point deficit into and eight-point lead at the half.
Chris Payne led the Eagles with 13 points and Bob Elliott followed with seven.
Kendrick Floyd added five points.
