Jefferson Davis still looking for win

The Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk basketball team is still searching for their first win of the season after falling to 0-14 overall and 0-4 in conference play Saturday night at home with a 95-78 loss to Wallace State-Selma.
JDCC was outscored 44-37 in the first half and 51-41 in the second half to fall by 17 points.
The Warhawks shot 44 percent from the field in the loss, was 11-for-26 from the 3-point area and were 9-of-13 from the free throw line for 69 percent.
Tysean Thompson and Brandon Howard both lead JDCC in scoring with 14 points.
Will Dupont and Jonathan Pascley both added 12 points in the loss to give JDCC four scorers in double figures.
Dupont and Thompson led with two steals each and DeAngelo Kirkland and Pascley both had one block each.
Thompson had seven assists in the loss and Kirkland added seven rebounds to lead JDCC.
Fred Underwood chipped in eight points in the loss and Justin Burroughs had six points.
The Warhawks will be back in action on Friday when they travel to Enterprise-Ozark and will be back in action at home on Monday, Jan. 26 against Faulkner State.
All games are conference games fro the Warhawks and will begin at 7 p.m.
