JDCC hoops fall in overtime to FS

Despite a double-double performance from Anthony Jones, the JDCC Warhawk basketball team dropped an 81-77 decision on the road to Enterprise-Ozark.
The loss dropped JDCC to 0-15 overall and to 0-5 in conference play.
Jones had 11 rebounds and 13 points to lead JDCC.
Four Warhawks scored in double figures in the loss as Will Dupont and Jonathan Pascely each had 14 points in the loss.
Jones had 13 points and Deforest Taite added 10 points in the loss.
JDCC led 40-39 after the first half, but fell by five points in the second half as Enterprise claimed the four-point win.
Dupont added six assists to lead JDCC. Deangelo Kirkland, Pascley, Tysean Thompson and Jones all had a block in the game for the Warhawks.
Pascley, Taite and Chase Cornelius all had two steals each in the loss.
JDCC will take on Bishop State Thursday night at home at 7 p.m. in another conference game for the Warhawks.
Faulkner State 84, JDCC 81 OT
After overcoming a two-point deficit at the half at 32-30, the JDCC Warhawks outscored Faulkner State 38-36 in the second half to tied the game at 68-all and force overtime.
In the overtime period, Faulkner State outscored the Warhawks 84-81 to drop JDCC to 0-16 overall and to 0-6 in conference play.
Dupont led JDCC with 24 points in the loss and Pascley chipped in 15 points for the JDCC Warhawks.
