Mrs. Joanne Campbell Downing, 73, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009. She was a native of Brewton, a homemaker and a member of Cedar Hill United Methodist Church in East Brewton.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Downing of Flomaton; two sons, Doug Montgomery and Ernie Downing, both of Flomaton; three daughters, Sherry Crawford of Pensacola, Fla., Tami Blair (Ricky Odom) of East Brewton, and Candy (Mike) Frazier of Miller's Ferry; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Friday, Feb. 6, at 1 p.m. at the Flomaton Funeral Home chapel. Donations may be made to the Alabama Organ Center in Birmingham or to the Weaver Family Cemetery.
