If you’ve ever dreamed of cooking with a master chef followed by a relaxing day at the spa, a Friday announcement by officials with Wind Creek Casino and Hotel in Atmore could be the answer to your dreams.
Jay Dorris, PCI Gaming president and CEO, announced the planned opening of The Cooking Studio and The Spa at Wind Creek.
The Wind Creek house chef, Stafford DeCambra, a Culinary Olympic gold medalist, will conduct culinary classes.
Those who participate in the cooking experience will be treated to instruction by DeCambra and other chefs using state of the art appliances provided by Sub-Zero and Wolf.
Dorris said plans are under way to have the rotating class offerings available beginning in July.
The announcement of the July opening of The Spa at Wind Creek offered Dorris a chance to explain what a getaway destination the Atmore facility can be.
Keith Martin, chairman of PCI Gaming, said the facility is becoming more and more of what the Poarch Band of Creek Indians had dreamed of operating.
Martin said the addition of The Cooking Studio was a move that is certain to put Wind Creek on the map.
The Cooking Studio and The Spa at Wind Creek are expected to open in July.
