Mrs. Neva Glendine Loper Marion, 87, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, at her residence on Wildfork Road, after a brief illness. She was a native of St. Stephens, and a former resident of Columbus, Ga., before moving to Brewton 61 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Mennonite Church.
She is survived by four sons, Wayne (Shirley) Mizell of Chickasaw, Ray Marion of Wallace, Ollie (Lisa) Marion of Brewton, and John (Peggy) Wood of Pensacola, Fla.; a daughter, Lurie (Larry) Wood of Pensacola; a brother, Frank Loper of St. Stephens; a sister, Louise Neese of Eight Mile; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 12, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel with the Rev. John Gehman and the Rev. Kenneth Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Wildfork Cemetery near Brewton, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
