These students were the only public school students in the event — every other team came from a private school. We think that speaks highly for public education but especially for our local students and teachers, who worked hard for their achievements.
These are just a few of the dozens of good stories and good students at our local schools.
In the midst of some trying economic times, it’s nice to remember that our public schools are educating and supporting some of the brightest minds and most well-rounded students in our state.
We’re proud of all of our schools and students in Brewton and East Brewton.
