Parenting, at its very best, can be difficult and stressful. That is the reason the Escambia County Mental Health Board is happy to host an upcoming seminar for parents.
Emmie Jernigan, president of the Board, said the mission of the group is to provide resources and information when there is a need.
Rod Marshall, director of counseling for Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes and Family Ministries, will hold a seminar Feb. 19 at First Baptist Church in Brewton.
Marshall is a licensed professional counselor and a national certified counselor who has been working in the mental health field for more than 15 years.
For most of the past decade, Marshall has specialized in working with children and families.
The event is offered by the ECMHB free of charge. The public is welcome to attend.
