Mrs. Pauline Mattie Philyaw Cooper, 77, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, in a Century health care facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Conecuh County and a lifelong resident of Escambia County. She was of the Holiness faith and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Catherine Cooper.
She is survived by her husband, LeRoy Cooper of Flomaton; a sister-in-law, Ida (Ken) Nicholson of Davie, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 13, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Wiggins officiating. Burial followed at Moyeville Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
