Veteran restaurateurs Dennis Pittman and Travis Sigler are making plans to re-open the Ole Willie’s restaurant in downtown Brewton, tentatively during the first week of March.
Pittman said the pair looked throughout the Atmore area and couldn’t settle on a suitable location at a reasonable price. With market changes in that community since the opening of Wind Creek Casino, Pittman said prices for property were not suitable for their budget.
Sigler said what the pair found in Brewton was just what they were hoping for.
Sigler said the environment at the restaurant should be similar to going to “grandma’s house.”
The restaurant’s menu will feature area favorites including many items found on the Ole Willie’s menu, as well as food with a country flair.
With daily lunch specials featuring a variety of meats and vegetables, patrons can enjoy a hearty but quick lunch, Pittman said.
Although home cooking will be the focus of many of the items on the Willie’s menu, Pittman said seafood lovers will get just what they want every Friday and Saturday night.
The restaurant will have operating hours of 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Bar hours will from 4 p.m. until Monday through Saturday.
The restaurant located in the Old Willie’s building in downtown Brewton at the intersection of Belleville and St. Joseph Avenues across the street from the main offices of Bank of Brewton.
