Mrs. Juanita Rigby Dortch, 86, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, in Atmore. She was a native and lifelong resident of Bratt. She was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, and a member of Bratt Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Bernard Dortch and a son, Donald Edward Dortch.
She is survived by four sons, Duane (Ester) Dortch and Wintford Dortch, both of Bratt, Robert Edward (Mary Elizabeth) Dortch of Brewton, and Winston (Renee) Dortch of Cantonment, Fla.; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Estelle Lyles of Montgomery, and Ethel Gibbs of Mobile.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Theron Collingsworth officiating. Burial followed at Godwin Cemetery with Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
