Baseball Eagles fall to EC

After claiming six straight wins to open their 2009 season, the W.S. Neal Eagle baseball team dropped their second game in a row Friday night in Atmore as they fell 2-0 to the Escambia County High School Blue Devils.
The loss dropped the Eagles to 6-2 this season.
Tyler Cross picked up the loss on the mound for the Eagles. Cross went six innings and allowed two runs, struck out seven and walked one in the loss to the Blue Devils.
Escambia County scored one run in the bottom of the first inning and one in the bottom of the fourth to claim the two-run win.
Dodson Herrington, Reid Johnson, and Keith Bradley were all 1-for-3 at the plate for the Eagles.
All three had singles to record the only hits in the loss for W.S. Neal.
The Eagles will be back in action on Friday when they travel to Fairhope to take on the Fairhope Pirates.
