Mr. Carrington Allen Pickens Sr., 40, died Sunday, March 15, 2009. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Spivey Pickens, and his brother, Thomas Rex Pickens III.
He is survived by his sons, Carrington Allen Pickens Jr. and Kenneth Spivey Pickens; his father, Thomas Rex Pickens; and a sister, Elizabeth Pickens Nelson.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 19, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Pickens family home.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, March 19, at 10 a.m. at Collirene Community Cemetery with the Rev. Elwood Sims and the Rev. Travis Barnes officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma directing. Pallbearers will be Rusty Slate, Kelly Bryan, Wyatt Roberson, Mark Dorriety, Joshua Dorriety and T.J. Jarrell.
